Baltimore Police Sergeant Charged With Assault

Baltimore City Police Commissioner Michael Harrison announced the arrest of BPD Sgt. Ethan Newberg for assault, false arrest, false imprisonment and misconduct.

Harrison says 24-year veteran Sergeant Ethan Newberg stated in his police report that while he was conducting a warrant check on a person in the 2300 block of Ashton Street a passerby challenged him and became aggressive prompting him to make an arrest.
