Controversial Lagos miracle Pentecostal priest, Pastor Ofuche Ukoha (also known as) “Sign Fireman” has been implicated in a ritual murder scandal involving a boy in his church who strangled 12 year old teenage girl while trying to obtain feces from her for ritual purposes.

The disclosure of Pastor Fireman’s involvement in the scandal was made by an eighteen year old boy paraded by the police in Lagos. The teenage suspect stated during the parade that he was sent on the ritual mission by Pastor  Fireman.

He said he had always dreamt of becoming rich and had approached the pastor personally, after years of attending the church without his own financial miracle happening, Mr. Fireman reportedly told him the way to get his Sign for finance was to get the feces of a virgin girl. The suspect said Pastor Fireman promised him a reward of N100,000 for the assignment.

The suspect narrated how he sought and killed the 12 year old girl simply named “Bose”, the daughter of poor lady on his street.

Confirming the incident to a Lagos correspondent this morning, Lagos Police PRO, Mrs. Ngozi Braide said Pastor Fireman was arrested on Tuesday five days after he was declared wanted by the police. She said investigation has commenced regarding his involvement.

Several of his supporters, many of them women who dressed up and wore hats, appeared ready on Friday to chip in for the bond. Brown is scheduled to return to court Monday with the paperwork. Brown faces a count of forcible rape and two counts each of sexual battery and committing a lewd act on a juvenile in three alleged crimes all dating back at least 30 years. Police originally booked Brown with aggravated rape on June 28, after an unidentified 39-year-old woman called the NOPD’s child abuse unit in March to report that Brown had molested her between the ages of 14 and 16. According to police, the woman said Brown had been her aunt’s boyfriend and committed the acts at his home. Since then, at least two other people have come forward with accusations against him, according to the indictment. One of them, now 47, claims Brown committed indecent behavior and sexual battery sometime between her 13th and 17th birthdays, according to the indictment.

Thomas Archie Wiggins Jr. another Church of God in Christ Pastor has been arrested for sex crimes against an underage child. The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office arrested Thomas Archie Wiggins Jr, 54, on five counts of first-degree sexual offense and five counts of indecent liberties with a minor. “The crimes allegedly took place in 1998, said Sgt. J.J. Brewer, spokesman for the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office. As of Tuesday, Wiggins was listed as the pastor on the website for Wilmington’s Faith Temple Church of God and Christ, 1119 S. 4th St. According to the organization’s website, Wiggins has been a pastor at the church since December 1998, but Brewer said he did not know when during that year the alleged incidents took place.Wiggins was booked into the New Hanover County jail under a $100,000 secured bond, but bonded out later in the day, according to jail officials.

A former Homewood minister is accused of killing his wife.

Richard Shahan was arrested last week in Nashville’s airport trying to board a plane to Germany. He was extradited to Jefferson County yesterday to face murder charges in connection with his wife Karen’s death last July.

Through a closed circuit television in a Jefferson County criminal court, Shahan stood for his initial appearance as the judge read the charges against him. It’s an appearance that’s been almost six months in the making.

On July 23 of last year, Shahan’s wife, Karen Shahan, was found dead in the couple’s home on Hugh Circle in Homewood. Two weeks later, Richard Shahan was brought in for questioning by the Homewood police, but was later released.

In the wake of of his wife’s death, Shahan took a leave of absence from his position as children’s minister at First Baptist Church of Birmingham. He announced his resignation on Nov. 29, and shared his intentions to pursue mission work overseas.

Larry Bollinger, a Gaston County pastor, was sentenced to 25 years in prison after he admitted molesting underage girls while he was a missionary in Haiti. Bollinger has been in jail since he was arrested a year and a half ago, and it was almost a year ago that he pleaded guilty to the charges of molesting 11-year-old girls in Haiti.

While in a counseling session, Bollinger admitted that he sexually abused several Haitian children on multiple occasions, the prosecutors said. His confession prompted the counselor to call the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to report the abuse. During the call to the national center, Bollinger informed the operator that he had sexually molested four girls, all between the ages of 11 and 16, the prosecutors said. The case was referred to the federal Homeland Security Investigation office in Charlotte. The girls identified by Bollinger as his sexual abuse victims were interviewed. During those interviews, the victims gave details about Bollinger’s sexual abuse that corroborated his confession, the prosecutors said.”

The Alabama Bureau of Investigation arrested Oliver Brazelle Monday. Brazelle is the former minister of music at First United Methodist Church in Sheffield.

The church conducted an internal investigation and reportedly discovered inappropriate behavior between Brazelle and three male victims. Church leaders turned their findings over to police. Brazelle was booked in the Lauderdale County Detention Center on charges of sodomy and sexual abuse. The church held a prayer service for healing a few days after Brazelle’s dismissal. Phones were not answered at the church when AL.com called for a comment the afternoon of Thursday, Jan. 9.

Sheffield Police Chief Greg Ray told Florence’s Times Daily that he hoped the fact that Brazelle has now been charged might embolden other victims to come forward. Ray said that his investigation in July 2012 was stymied after a month because the person who made the initial accusation to them would not agree to come forward.

“Officially, we never had a victim,” Ray told the Times Daily.

Brazelle is free on a $45,000 bond. Both of the charges against him are felonies. Second-degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony, is punishable by 1-10 years in prison. Second-degree sodomy, a Class B felony, carries a penalty of 2-20 years in prison
